Raja Ampat, heaven in the east of Indonesia

Papua is a black pearl. That nick name was given because Papua hides many beautiful places that you haven't ever heard. Located in the east of Indonesia, Papua apparently has a major beauty which is hidden in each of its island, especially "Raja ampat".

History
Raja Ampat is surrounded by four major island. There are Waigeo, Misool, Batanta, Salawati. Each island has different characterization. According to myth which is in Papua, There was a girl who found seven eggs, but only four of eggs hatched. Each of egg occupied one island which means there are 4 king in 4 island surrounded in Raja Ampat.

History also mentioned that Raja ampat was part of "Sultanate of Tidore" , but the Dutch was invaded. Raja ampat became part of Netherland's invasion territory for temporary.

Main Attractions
Raja ampat is an amazing place. One of those stunning scenery is "Lagoon in wayag". Lagoon is a spectaculary group of big rock islands in the northwest of the region.

In Raja Ampat. you can also see 540 type of corals, 750 type of fish and 1000 type of mollusc. Based on those facts, 75% of the world's species live there. You can see yourself how beauty this place is. The stunning underwater scenery will hypnotize you because of those things.

How to get there?
You can go there by plane from Jakarta to Sorong, Papua. It may take 6-7 hours then you go to Sorong Harbour. Sorong harbour is the gate to Raja Ampat. Taking Ferry or Speed boat from Sorong Harbour to Raja Ampat.

Actually, there are cheaper way to Raja Ampat, but it takes much time so I reccomend you to take a flight and book it a month before your vacation. The important thing is to avoid "PEAK SEASON" because the ticket will be expensive.

Tips on Vacation

5 Ways to Save Money on Vacation

In 2016, I had some vacation.  In each vacation, I always made a mistake for my reckless. Like everybody else, I always made a note about what to do and what not to do, especially in managing my money. Ticket, Lodging-house, meals, and other stuff must be concerned for the traveler. I remembered when I had a trip to Yogyakarta, I bought some helpless stuff. Travel isn't cheap is a reality, people can't just have a holiday without managing the cost of everything.

Here's the 5 ways to manage your money.

1. Order your ticket a month before your travel
This is important because each travel agent have a cut-price if you order a month before your travel. By downloading apps such as Traveloka, Mister Aladin you can compare the ticket price. Those sites could be your guide to get a hot-deals hotel. Besides having cut-prices, those sites have a certain recommendation places.

2. Pack efficiently
Don't bring more clothes and roll your clothes in order that you don't have to take many bags. If you are going to beach, you have to bring a cloth not an uniform. You must be aware of the situation where you are going. Don't take a wrong custome, it would embarrass yourself.

3. Don't be afraid of bargaining
This is always happened for traveler, they are afraid to do that. While I went home from Bogor, my friends and I should have ordered Grabcar, but we didn't have grabcar around us. So we decided to take public transportation (Angkot), we didn't ask how much. That's the fault because we had to pay more than 10k each people for 3km. That's insane !!

 4. Skip the Souvenir
Why we have to buy a souvenir. We don't need a key chains or decorative spoons to remember our terrific journey. Instead, we can take a photo to memorize our journey.

5. Going to cheap destination
Cheap destination does'nt mean a bad place. There are many rare places that is still hidden. Don't go to mainstream place because it's too usual for people.

Check my recommendation trip.

Separated by sunda strait, Sumatera is located in the west of Indonesia's territory. Due to the fact that Sumatera has tropical rainforest, but Sumatera also has many rare places.

These are top 5 rare places in Sumatera. I recommend this place based on visitor's opinion.

1. Weh Island, Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam

Started from northwest Sumatera, This paradise is located in small active volcanic island. It takes 2 hours by using Ferry from the mainland, Banda Aceh. This place was appeared because the last eruption of the volcano. Although this place is still not too well-known, but this place has more than 20 spots amazing spots for diver.

2. Kampar River, Riau

Called as the longest wave in the world. Yappp, Bono wave is a phenomenon that was abandoned. Along time ago, Kampar river was just a river with no much benefits. But,now, Bono wave is the one which is always visited by tourists. This phenomenon are attracted the surfers around the world. Steve king was able to be a conqueror. He broke the record, according to the Guinness world of records, after covering 20 km for 1 hour and 4 minutes. What an amazing wave !!

3. Mount Kerinci, Jambi

If you don't like going to beach, you should go to Jambi. Mount kerinci is the highest volcano in Indonesia which is located in Jambi. This place is surrounded by  Kerinci seblat national park and this is home to endangered species such as Sumatra tiger and Sumatra rhinocheros. After reaching the top of mountain, you'll see the beautiful landscape from above.

4. Harau Valley

One of the most beautiful natural scenery in West sumatra. It is located in the road between Pekanbaru and Bukit tinggi. Your journey is surrounded by green rice field which is covered by brown cliffs, canyons and rocks. This is good place to take a selfie. A place where people can live in peace. No sound and still quite. it is also far from the city.

5. Belitung island

This place sounds familiar after laskar pelangi's movie. It turns out that there are many beaches which is surrounded this small island. Beside the fact of falling behind in the education, This place hides many paradise places that you've never seen before. This place is artistic even for you not a profesional photographer.

The best way to escape from your routinity

PULAU SERIBU : A WONDERFUL PLACE IN THE EDGE OF JAKARTA

In the end of the year, I will tell my experience while i was stranded in pulau seribu(fun way). I am gladly telling you guys that this is my favorite year in my whole life. I'd been visiting few wonderful places that god ever created. From the west of java island until the middle of java island (Yogyakarta), I visited this year. Now, i am going to tell you the reason why you should go to pulau seribu.

For the record, Pulau seribu are a chain of island to the north of jakarta's coast. pulau seribu don't have thousand island, it is just such a nickname. But, pulau seribu have many hidden places that you must go there such as pulau tidung, pulau bidadari and the most "kekinian" place pulau semak daun. the last place I mentioned, Pulau semak daun is the best place for the traveler because you can make a tent right there.

Enough for the explanation, here's the few things to let you know it:

1. How to get there?
For your information, only 45 of the 150 pulau seribu you can visit. There are two ways to go to pulau seribu. First, you can come to Sunda-kelapa's harbour, North jakarta. There, you can find a Ferry which take you to pulau seribu, but they just come by in Pulau Untung jawa, Pulau Pramuka and Pulau Harapan. Second, you can come to Muara angke. There you can visit more island because you take a smaller ship than Ferry.

2. Best destination
I prefer to take Ferry from Sunda-Kelapa harbour because it is a government ship that the safety has been guaranteed. It costs 20k more less, it isn't too expensive for us moneyless traveler. When I went there, I landed in Pulau pramuka. there I rented a homestay then I continued to travel around 3 small lands. You can pick whatever island you want, but you have to be careful because you are in the middle of the sea. yeahh MIDDLE OF THE SEA.

3. Finding a good spot to take a picture
For now on, there are several favorite places in Pulau seribu such as, Pulau tidung (among pulau perawan) and Pulau Semak daun. I don't explain the first one, but i want to explain about Pulau semak daun. It took 30 minutes from Pulau pramuka to get there. It was amazing place. It's just a small island surrounding by trees and there is just a toilet. No places to stay. It is a place for real traveler. Camping there, making camp fire, Singing together with your friend. that's lovely.

4. Price is everything
As moneyless traveler, i had to calculate how much money that i should pay. this is why you should bargain everything you find. While my friends and I were travelling around 3 small island, we asked few fishermen. finally we found a cheap and friendly one. I took 250k for 3 small island. It wasn't too expensive furthermore, he was our guide, photographer and advisor (kinda)

5. Don't forget to take extra money
As long as i saw, there was just one ATM card in Pulau pramuka.

In addition, living in the small island was exciting, hoping you guys can get there. people deserve to have some vacation. So, take your time. Find a peace. Get your ass out from home.

Beauty behind the mountain

Curug Bidadari (Waterfall)

One of the most beautiful creature that ever been found is waterfall. Waterfall is a place where the water flows over the vertical drops. In Indonesia, you can find many waterfalls especially in Bogor. There are plenty of waterfalls that you can find hidden beyond the mountain. For instance, Curug ciheurang, curug pangeran and the nearest one from Jakarta, Curug bidadari. By the way, here's i will tell you my experience while was going to Curug Bidadari.

One day before My friends and I went to waterfall, we hadn't made any decision yet. I thought that we wouldn't get there so I decided to hang out with my other friends. I came home late at that night. In the next morning,  I woke up late and I found my friends called me but i didn't answer so I checked my group inbox. We finally made it. We met at the campus at 10 am. We drove to the Curug by going across Jl. Raya bogor (the fastest way to get there). Fortunately, we were not lost because the way you get there wasn't hard enough. All you have to do just go straight through Jl. raya Bogor until you meet Sentul city, you have to turn left. if you were lost, you could use google map or waze.

Here's the challenge after my friends and I passed the Sentul city. There were  road construction and also paving stone. That's why we had to be careful. After passing through Sentul city, we had to drive through the hill which was many blind turning. For information, there are few irresponsible civilians who ask for our money so i recommend you prepare more money. I assumed my trip from Jagakarsa until Curug Bidadari took 2 hours. The ticket wasn't too cheap because i should pay 40k each person.

We arrived at Curug Bidadari at 1 pm. We directly went to the waterfall. The visitor was so crowded. I descibed that the waterfall wasn't so big, but big enough for putting your head there. Beside the waterfall, there were big stone and ivy. There were huge stone that you could enjoy the view there.

The waterfall raced along. In each few times, The waterfalls flowed down much water from the top. When you put your body there, it seemed like stabbed by a lot of water. there wasn't any flower nearby, but the waterfall was drizzling into the rocks.

In my opinion, Curug bidadari is a good place where you can find another joyful life. it is not too far from Jakarta, but you should be careful about the way to get there. Don't be afraid of gettin lost because it isn't hard to get there. At last but not least, there are many stores that you can find there or if you want to pack your meal from home, you can bring your stuff there.

Here's the look of my trip.

Have enjoy your trip !!
